Norwich East School Sport Partnership 2019 - 2020

Exciting & very welcome news for schools as the Government announce the PE & Sport Premium Funding for 2020-2021...see news item below!

This website provides up to date information for School Staff, Parents, Governors & young people in the Norwich East area.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and recent government requirements ALL currently planned school games events have been postponed until further notice.

However, our role, as School Games Organisers, is still to provide support and activities to help all pupils stay active.

In order to assist school pupils and staff to continue keeping fit and healthy during this period of 'lock down' and partial school closures, I have sent an email to all schools this week which includes useful links for activities which can be used in school, or alternatively to send out to pupils at home.

I will be keeping in regular contact with schools to offer ideas to address physical fitness, health and well being.

CLICK on 'ABOUT US' & then 'INITIATIVES' to access links to help keep you all Healthy & Happy whether you in school or at home.

In the meantime take care of yourselves and your families, and keep fit & healthy.

Norwich East SSP SGO

Our purpose is to inspire and nurture our youngsters to enter into sport with the enthusuiasm and aspiration to do the best that they can do and to establish a lifelong love of sport.

To achieve this we offer a variety of competitive opportunities, deliver workshops and festivals to introduce new sports to children, teachers and volunteers.

We also offer all of our schools, the oppportunity to participate in the Norfolk School Games 2020.  School teams and individuals are invited to enter our NE SSP competitions many of which are qualifying events to represent Norwich East SSP at these games

Please see our Calendar for details of all our events this year.

The School Games is made up of four levels of competition:

Level 1: Competition within a school ie inter-house competitions (Intra)

Level 2: Competitions between local schools ie cluster/partnership events (Inter)

Level 3: Norfolk School Games (County event)

Level 4: National multi-sport event

We look forward to another very successful year in sport for your schools and your children.

Isla McFadyen - School Games Organiser
