WELCOME BACK TO OUR NORWICH EAST SSP WEBSITE
Norwich East SSP is one of 8 School Sport Partnerships in Norfolk providing, support and activities, to schoolsin the County in their quest to keep their students stay active & healthy in body & mind.
Norwich East SSP includes 6 high schools, 43 primary, junior & infant schools and 1 special school, all of whom have equal, free access to our School Games competitions, CPD, PE Lead support and other training opportunties.
This website provides up to date information for School Staff, Parents, Governors & young people in the Norwich East area.
Due to the, continued, COVID-19 outbreak and Government requirements regarding social distancing, hygiene and general care for everyone we are continuing to support schools with a virtual programme of Competition and Challenges which can be used in core PE lessons, or as schools wish.
NORWICH EAST SCHOOL SPORT PARTNERSHIP & THE NORFOLK SCHOOL GAMES
Our vision for the Norfolk School Games is to continue to make a meaningful difference to the lives of the young people who can benefit the most.
Our mission is to keep competitive sport and physical activity at the heart of schools, providing engaging opportunities for young people to develop as characters, realise their potential and continue their pathway to an active, healthy, happy and prosperous life.
Our purpose is to inspire and nurture our youngsters to enter into sport with the enthusuiasm and aspiration to do the best that they can do and to establish a lifelong love of sport.
To achieve this we offer a variety of competitive opportunities, deliver workshops and festivals to introduce new sports to children, teachers and volunteers, and we will strive to continue offering this in a varied, interesting and meaningful way throuout this academic year.
The School Games is made up of four levels of competition:
Level 1: Competition within a school ie inter-house competitions (Intra)
Level 2: Competitions between local schools ie Norwich East School Sport Partneship events (Inter)
Level 3: Norfolk School Games (County event)
Level 4: National multi-sport event
We look forward to sharing another very happy, and purposeful, year in sport and well-being for your staff and your pupils.
